Andy Warhol was an American artist born in 1928 and died in 1987. He is considered one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, especially for his work in the art movement known as Pop Art. Warhol used screen printing to produce images of celebrities and everyday consumer products, as well as abstract works of art. His most famous works include paintings of Campbell's soup cans and portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and other popular figures of the time. Warhol was also known for his social life and his ability to gather artists, musicians and personalities from the world of fashion and cinema around him.
